How I Spent my Summer

Hey Loves, get in here :) I've been meaning to share this particular post with you(my internet family) for a while now.
My summer officially started after my degree project defence on the 13th of August 2015. I'm grateful to God for helping me complete my first degree. I am now a graduate (yaaay!!! It wasn't easy, but it was worth it). I am now waiting for my admission into the Nigerian Law School and starting another exceptionally excellent phase of my life (I need your prayers).
I came back to Lagos, then, went on a semi vacation to Auchi in Benin, Asaba the capital of Delta state, and, Awka in Anambra state, then, Enugu and back to Lagos and, by road. My verdict, NIGERIA IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Here are some pictures to buttress my point. Although, you'll have to pardon me for the quality of some of my pictures and, the fact that they aren't enough.... A tour guide was arranged for us. We visited some places in Asaba, including Grand hotel, where we had a lovely view of the River Niger.

This is what my room at Elomaz Best Western Hotel looked like. I loved it! I believe it's a 4 star hotel, and it surpassed all my expectations. I stayed on the fifth floor. Their service was by far the best we had, and their food was out of this World fantastic. I will definitely go back. On a scale of 5, I will rate them 4(to be fair they deserve a 5/5). Book ahead of time if you are interested.

Their towels were crisp and fresh. No stains on the walls or the bathroom floor.

I forgot to take a picture of this meal...I was hangry. Before I laid my cutlery on it, it was a Sea Food platter.

The club sandwich was tasty...they tried sha. I preferred the sea food platter I had earlier.

The following pictures were taken at Grand Hotel Asaba.

A view of the River Niger from Grand Hotel Asaba.

A new Grand hotel is under construction(that white fenced building).

These pictures were taken at an Anchorage site along the River Niger.

We were told the Lander Brothers and some earlier missionaries and explorers of the River Niger were buried here.

The Rickshaws in Asaba are painted blue and white as opposed to the general yellow and black known in Lagos, Enugu and some other states in Nigeria.

Delta State University aka DELSU, and some of the structures in it that caught my eyes.

Faith Academy Asaba, the Winners Chapel School. The children were in session, so we couldn't go in... I wouldn't appreciate it if some nosey tourists came into my class when a teacher was imparting knowledge..

The Airpot.

Crunchies Asaba :)

This is a beautiful view while descending the Niger bridge at Onitsha.
