HOW TO START A YOUTUBE CHANNEL 5 THINGS TO KNOW

Happy Independence Day Nigeria!!!! I believe in you, and Your good people.

Welcome to today's post guys! I hope you are having an out of the box experience this weekend. It's okay if, it's the couch potato life for you, or, Netflix and chill.

So, you've been thinking of starting a YouTube channel eh? Or maybe dusting up your old channel and starting over. Welcome! Here are a few tips for you.
Go for a very catchy name that most people will be able to remember. Floxynoxy? Never mind.

You must know your niche. What you enjoy doing the most? What excites you? It must be something you are passionate about if not, after 7 videos and you have just 50 views you might be discouraged, and quit.
It's okay, You might not go viral overnight, hold on honey, your time will come.

Have about 4 very good videos ready before you officially launch. Have your friends and family or, confidants critique the video.

I hope you are enjoying this post guys? What important points do you think I missed out?

Write a bio/about channel that will blow the mind of anyone that may stumble upon your channel for the first time. This area is where you actually lay down what your channel will be focusing on, and what your videos are about. Also, put down your contact details if you would want a feedback from your viewers, and links to your social media accounts.

Create your own unique banner, and, use an eye catching profile picture.

Pick a routine/upload time, and stick to it. What day(s) of the week is most convenient for you to upload? How many times a week do you intend to upload?
Hint: You can add this to your banner, by the left side.

You need permission of artistes before you use their music as background music in your videos. YouTube is owned by Google, and they don't play with Intellectual Property. Always have that at the back of your mind.

Remember originality is key.  Be yourself. It's okay to be a bit fidgety in your first video. I mean its awkward talking to a camera, especially when you are midway shooting, and your younger sibling walks in, awkward....oya just shoot me already! Be yourself, your viewers can tell if you are fake. They're real people. Your type of camera shouldn't give you a headache at all. Just focus on quality content(in your niche)
